This 4 page paper outlines the central character in The White Mile. Dan Cutler, driven CEO portrayed by Alan Alda in the 1994 film The White Mile was an individual who demonstrated ethical conflict. Dan’s desire to use a kind of nature “retreat” to help advertising executives bond with clients was not a factor that demonstrates issues of ethics, but as it becomes evident that some individuals have greater value than others in terms of protection and safety, Alda’s ulterior motives emerge and it becomes evident that Dan did not run an ethical organization.
